Holds a Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences from the American University in Beirut (1977) and a Postdoctoral (fellow), Nutrition, Columbia University (1981). Holds a certification registered by American Dietetic Association (1987). Dean and Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the American University in Beirut (2006-present). Professor and Researcher in the field of Nutrition and Food Sciences in several American and Arab Universities in Lebanon and the world (1972-2000). Director of the Faculty of Medicine at the Makassed University (1981-1984). Active. Member of many boards and commissions specialized in Food Science in Lebanon, America, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Served as a specialized Consultant in the Ministries of Health and Agriculture for several years in Lebanon. Organized conferences, seminars and several workshops and provided a variety of services and consultations in the field of Nutrition in Lebanon, America, Canada and the United Kingdom.
