Holds a Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences from the American University in Beirut (1977) and a Postdoctoral (fellow), Nutrition, Columbia University (1981). Holds a certification registered by American Dietetic Association (1987). Dean and Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the American University in Beirut (2006-present). Professor and Researcher in the field of Nutrition and Food Sciences in several American and Arab Universities in Lebanon and the world (1972-2000). Director of the Faculty of Medicine at the Makassed University (1981-1984). Active. Member of many boards and commissions specialized in Food Science in Lebanon, America, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Served as a specialized Consultant in the Ministries of Health and Agriculture for several years in Lebanon. Organized conferences, seminars and several workshops and provided a variety of services and consultations in the field of Nutrition in Lebanon, America, Canada and the United Kingdom. Distinguished Researcher Award by the National Council for Scientific Research. Has many research papers and publications
